The Governing Body plays a vital role at All Saints as our 'Critical Friend'. It is made up completely of volunteers and meets once every term to discuss issues important to the running of the school. It is responsible for making sure that certain policies are up-to-date and meet statutory regulations.
Governors are also welcome to come into school at any time to join in the day-to-day activities and to "keep an eye" on how things are going.
Each governor is assigned to a class and follows that class all the way through to when the children leave. That way they get a chance to become familiar with the curriculum in every year and gain an understanding into how the school operates, its good points and the areas in which it could improve.
Governors come from every walk of life and are meant to reflect the school and its community. We have parents, those appointed by the church, staff and members of the community.
Should you wish to become a governor please contact the school to find out if there are any vacancies. You do not need any special skills or expertise - just a desire to get involved and help All Saints become an even better school.
